Pornofilmy is a Russian punk rock band from the city of Dubna. At first glance, the name of the collective can be regarded as a kind of forbidden genre of cinema for adults, but this is not so. Scandalous musicians specifically seek criticism and aggression against them. They want to be heard and go to extremes to achieve their goal.
The performers of the "Pornofilmy" punk group differ from a number of Russian bands playing in the same style. The lyrics have a strong emphasis on the domestic politics of the country. In addition to all this, the guys are promoting a healthy lifestyle - a healthy lifestyle. All, without exception, the members of the team do not use drugs, alcohol and tobacco. Moreover, the guys are vegetarians, and thus promote pacifism in relation to the killing of animals.
The very name of the collective "Pornofilmy" is a metaphorical perception of the environment and everyday moments, which often ceased to be noticed, and are perceived as a normal reality. Awful bumpy roads, scanty salaries that a modern person cannot live on in society, degrading youth who hang out in shopping malls and do not strive for anything in this life - all this is a reflection of reality and a name that speaks for itself - "porn movies". According to the vocalist of the band Vladimir Kotlyarov - the name is the most suitable.
The Pornofilmy group was founded in 2008. The artists began their active musical activity only four years later. The reason for this start was an active life position and the transition to a healthy lifestyle. This is reflected in the lyrics of the band's songs.
The guys had no money, and they had to rehearse not in rehearsal facilities, but in a regular garage. There the guys also recorded the accumulation of material for their songs. For a very nominal fee, a close friend of the group managed to mix mastering and assemble the finished product of the tracks, which later became a full-fledged album.
The team takes decisive measures and turns to the Planeta.ru website. This service is known for the fact that musicians can request a monetary fee from the consumer, on loan promising him a finished product in the form of a disk after a while. This crowdfunding project was announced with a request of 550 thousand rubles. The performers immediately indicated that the money would go not to record the album, but to a charitable foundation. The "Pornofilmy" group thus collected almost twice as much money as it was announced - 909 thousand rubles.
In 2015, a successful album entitled “Russian Dream. Part 1". The guys worked on the material for a long time. The first song from the collection "Come!" they dedicated a close friend of the group who committed suicide by jumping off the roof of a house. The reason for this was the misunderstanding and infringement of him, as a person in his environment.
Group "Pornofilmy" exists as a team to this day. The composition is popular with its fans, admirers and favorite audience. From time to time they give concerts, although the musicians have not yet released new material.
